We interviewed the 13 year old Rookie Johannes at the "IFFA Football Freestyle Camp" in Germany:
IFFA: Johannes, when did you start to freestyle?
I started with 11 to play around, with 12 I really got hooked on the sport.
IFFA: Do you play football at a football club?
I used to play at a club, but I stopped some months ago, so I can completely concentrate on the freestyle things now. I go to school which takes a lot of time, so I had to decide between playing football at a club or doing football freestyle. For me (and my mom) school has of course the highest priority right now.
IFFA: How often do you practise?
I practise every day for about 2 hours. On the weekends I practise more, because I have much more time.
IFFA: Do you have a favourite freestyle player?
I check new vids on youtube.com nearly every day and there are of course some players I like most. One of them for sure is Daniel Rooseboom, and I was very happy to meet him here at the camp! There are some more players who inspire me like John Farnworth, Nam the Man and Palle!
IFFA: What are your dreams?
I want to get better and better and I don't want to lose the unbelievable fun I have while freestyling. I really love to freestyle and maybe, one day I am able to show my skills at performances and competitions!
